The Window
The Window
I looked out the window
It was blue and yellow
It was bright and shiny
Yet it was so mellow
I closed my eyes
I looked out the window
There were all shades of gray
The sky was thundering loud
Was it joy or dismay
I closed my eyes
I looked out the window
This time it was orange and red
The birds were flying back
It was time for the bed
I closed my eyes
I looked out the window
It was dark blue
The stars were trying to peep
Out of the grayish hue
I closed my eyes
I looked out the window
Now it was pitch black
And there were shining
Stars at the back
I closed my eyes
I looked out the window
It was another day
The blue was a little different
And clouds were far away
I closed my eyes
Something lighted and something dawned
I looked again
It was never the same
Every moment was different
Sometimes oblivion sometimes fame
What we see once
May see it twice or even thrice
Yet it will be different
Sometimes virtue sometimes vice
No one is the same
No place is the same
No time is the same
No grace is the same
Listen!
What it is trying to say
It is here today
It will be back tomorrow
It will stay for eternity
But It won’t be the same
So if you see it vice
Remember it’s a virtue
Remember it was also nice
And these are just the hues
It may change colors
It may make you puzzled
But if you see the real
You will be bedazzled
It looks simple
It is very deep
It seems easy
It is very steep
It is the depth
Which needs diving within
There is an infinity
Under the skin
